Plans - Timber Frame Building ??!!

I recently asked a few architects in Bloemfontein for quotes in respect of timber framing.  I was surprised about the response!  Some asked whether I want building plans for a A-frame building.  The others have never drawn plans for timber framing.  From the questions they have asked me, I could see that they have very little knowledge of this building method.  So the question is - how do we promote this green/environmental friendly method?
